I recently unistalled my Maya 2013 Student Edition. I even did it the way Autodesk wants you too from these steps: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=2887771&linkID=9240617
HOWEVER, now I want to reinstall it and it keeps telling me that Maya itself is still installed and I can only install the stuff that comes with it. Now when I search my computer it tells me that Maya cannot be found and says I need to locate this file: C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Maya 2013\x64\Maya\Maya2013.cab
Is there any way I can get help on this matter so I can have Maya 2013 up and running again. Or is it possible to send me just that file to install into my system so it can read it?
Thanks.

svelez,
Hello. You may be having problems with one particular key. Can you delete this key and try to install:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\EC4807CF09050774B8B5AC135225F6D0

Ok. Thanks.
Well I was able to get it installed but now I get an error saying;
"maya.exe" This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.
So I am still unable to use it. How can I fix this.
svelez,
Hello. This could be a corrupt Direct X component.,
Next, you could uninstall the program and reinstall. I know you already uninstalled manually, but sometimes a clean uninstall process through the Control Panel works wonders.
