Problem with GUI during product activation.

I have installed Inventor and have been able to retrieve my student license key and serial number.  However, when I try to activate the software from within the application, I get a GUI window that is mostly blank, although there are two radio buttons just barely visible in the top left corner.  This window appears after I agree to the Terms of Service and click to the next window. 

I have also attempted to activate online, but this process requires a "request code", which I presume would be displayed during the in-application activation process, if the GUI wasn't broken.  A screenshot is attached.  Any ideas how to fix the GUI, or can I activate another way?  Thanks in advance for your assistance.
