Network Deployment Issue - retired server

I've got 20+ users with Civil 3d 2012 installed from a network deployment that was hosted on a server that is no longer in use. Is there any way to update the client machines with the address or info to a new server that will host the deployment? I think this issue may be preventing me from getting SP 2.1 to install on the client machines.

Thanks-

If it were me, I'd recreate the deployment share identically to the old server, then put a hosts file entry on the client to point the old servername to the new server IP address.  The client wouldn't know the difference.  Easy.
