Exporting pdf file with using ctb file

Hi!

In Vault, I set it up to create pdf file when dwg file is released.

That time, I would like to export pdf file with using ctb file.

I try to export pdf file with monochrome.ctb and acad.ctb (color)and it perfectly works.

But When I set like some layers are red other layers are grey and the other layers are black, it doesn't apply in Vault.

I tried to change layer's color in ctb editor or pagesetup in AutoCAD, it doesn't work.

To summarize, When I export pdf file with default ctb file, it works. But when I modify ctb, it doesn't apply.

How should I set it up?

please help me~!

Thank you in advance.

I assume you are using job processor to publish pdfs. You need copy your modified ctb files to the job processor machine.

Hi Thank you for response.

ctb file already was copied on job processor machine.

Monochrome and acad(color) ctb works as I set it up.

But when I change some colors, it doesn't apply at all.

Is it correct to copy to the client's CAD ctb file?

I read some article, and tried to do as below link.

Thank you.

Hi,

If I am not wrong you need to edit the template the jobserver uses!

Maybe you should search for that!

Make sure you have copied the modified ctb files to the right location, job processor uses dwg trueview to publish pdf, you need to copy your modified ctb files to the folder such as:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\DWG TrueView 2019 - English\R17\enu\Plotters\Plot Styles

You can also store your modified ctb files in vault, then on the job server you can download the ctb files to the working folder and in DWG Trueview you need to change the File Options and change the default folder for plotting styles to the download location.

When pdf is published on the job server, it is using the ctb files on that machine. You cannot change some color on your own machine and expect the change also happen on the job server.
