Computer name changed - ADMS Console help

Hello,

IT changed the computer name where Vault Server 2021 Basic/Win10 Pro64 is installed. I've checked the information at

Command Line Server Console and posts here and just can't make it work.  I have a few issues that shall not be prooblem but they are AFAIK

Both ola and new computer names contain hypens (actually - sign) +, user name conatins spaces. Let's assume that theay are named "OLD-COMPUTER-NAME", "NEW-COMPUTER-NAME", "Me Administrator" and "Pass Word". I tried:

1) Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe -O -SNOOLD-COMPUTER-NAME -SNNEW-COMPUTER-NAME -VU"Me Administartor" -VP"Pass Word"

Response: message box saying Invalid command line operation "

2) Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe -O -SNOOLD-COMPUTER-NAME -SNNEW-COMPUTER-NAME -VUMe Administartor -VPPass Word

Response: message box saying Invalid command line switch Administrator

3) Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe -O -SNO(OLD-COMPUTER-NAME) -SN(NEW-COMPUTER-NAME) -VU(Me Administartor) -VP(Pass Word)

Response: message box saying Invalid command line switch 'Admin)'

? Can somebody please show me how to run this command line properly and tell me why the #@! parenthesis are not enough?

Thank you

Goran

Hi Goran,

It looks like you are not specifying an actual operation name (just -O). You would want to include the operation name similarly to:

Connectivity.ADMSConsole.exe -OSiteRename ....

Hope this helps,

Paul
