DWF/PDF Publish: Include Model Space or Layouts base on file category

Currently, when setting the publish option for DWF/PDF creation, we can select Include Model Space or Include Layouts, or both. However, this is a global setting, in scenarios with multi-discipline Vault implementation, the drawing conventions are all different for various disciplines, some plots with model space, and some use layouts, we are forced to select Include both model space and layouts in the options. The result pdf/dwf will then include unavoidable blank and useless pages either for model space or extra layouts, this is not good.

I hope in Vault we can have a mechanism to set this option for drawings from different disciplines, we usually set different categories for these drawings, if we can set the publish option based on file category, then that will be perfect.

For example, for mechanical drawings, the job processor will publish pdf/dwf using Model Space, and for architectural drawings it will be published using Layouts.

I agree with this. We have a mix of modelspace and paperspace drawings. Since modelspace is the majority, that is what we have Vault publish PDF set to. For paperspace, we have to use custom code to detect these DWGs and force the users to manually create, upload and attach the PDF for the Change Order to complete.
