Like most modern manufacturing companies, we try our best to standarise parts/assemblies so we can use these in multiple projects, spare parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies to keep inventory, storage space and stock levels down to avoid un-necessary costs to the business. We would really like to see a function where we can run a workflow to change all assemblies where-used at once. It is a massive inconvenience to have to run a workflow on every project that a part or assembly is linked too, ideally we would just check a box in the where used list to update all the linked projects and assemblies at once.    If there is a way to do this already could you please point me in the direction of the help pages.   Thanks  Show More

I recently had the need to remove some users from my Tenant, to do this it is necessary to request support from Autodesk technical support, this is something very impractical and time consuming, the easiest thing would be for the Tenant admin to have the ability to remove users himself It's a change I really hope they make soon. When viewing items in Project Management dashboard, we would like the ability to Right-click and open items in new tab so that it loads the ProjectBOM in the new tab without closing the Project Management dashboard.   The reason for this request is that the PM dashboard takes a long time to load and if we accidentally or intentionally clicked on an item under the dashboard, it would close the PM Dashboard and open the item in ProjectBOM. Having the ability to right-click on one of the items and Open it in new tab would be great for this use-case. Show More

When communicating with managers who need to approve CRs and CNs, it would good to have a link to the specific thing they need to approve. Right now, the address bar just shows the address of the overview of all CRs or CNs, so following that link will not get you to where you need to go. This also ties in with the ability to do something as simple as refreshing the page on a CR, which currently will kick the user out of the CR view.   If there's no way to have the address bar update when a CR/CN is being viewed, then there should at least be a way to create a permalink which will bring up a specific CR/CN.    Additionally, this sort of functionality would be very useful for being able to return to a view where I've drilled down several levels in my project BOM (currently, leaving the page and coming back will require the user to manually drill down all the way back to where they were).  Show More

In the CR window, there is a compare revisions option at the bottom. Is there a way to export that comparison out as a report with the differences highlighted as it's shown in the CR view? We could change the columns included to have it cleaner but it would be useful to have that BOM compare report as an option. Essentially what we want is a way to compare BOM's to highlight differences that can be exported as a report. The view shown in the CR compare revisions is exactly what we want but ideally a way to do it outside a CR and instead do it at the item level. Say comparing a Rev G with a Rev C to highlight the changes to a supplier. Show More

Unique Identifier is a mandatory field when creating a project. The Project Number field is a unique identifier for our organization, so we would want that to be a unique (and required) field for projects. We do not care for the Unique Identifier field. Is it possible to have Unique Identifier auto-filled/assigned? Show More

When we submit our drawings to governing bodies we only require the front drawing page of our parts. Currently, we use different software that takes our drawings, saves the front page, and can add a prefix or suffix to each drawing. The only problem is it is only setup to save the active sheet in the drawing and when we check-in with Upchain it always ends on the last page and saves it there.    It would be great if we could either have: Upchain to save back to front so it always saves the top sheet last Upchain offers the option to bulk export all the 1st sheets of a drawing document in parts/assemblies Show More

Since there is no persistent link option, one should enable attaching translations to notifications sent from e.g. an ECR or document approval process. This way, the e.g. purchasing dept. wouldn't need to log into Upchain to download a drawing when they are to send out a PO for a new revision of a part, just released through a workflow.  Show More

To access the last revision, a specific revision or any other specific item, drawing, step-file, document all items should have persistent links. In addition, there should be persistent links to "last released item" etc. By using the persistent link one could then simplify communication with others and other computer systems significantly.  An ERP system could simply use the persistent link to the last released revision and there would be no need to change the linking or upload files anywhere since the link always pointed to the last revision.  This would also be very useful for documents and communication with colleagues. Rather than sending them a document or document ID, I could simply use the persistent link to guide them directly to the right document/revision in Upchain.  Show More

The current CR report does not export many details of the CR; it's only very basic information (see attached CR report PDF).  In addition to the basic information, I need all details, to include the workflow approvers, their role, when they approved, and comments, if any (see attached screenshot). I accidentally closed a project because closing projects became task for me in the CAD plugin.  Why is the ability to close a project present, as a task no less, inside the plugin?  Also there are no warnings or details what the assignment is for unless you're an Upchain pro and recognize the nomenclature.  This ability to close project outside of the web app should be removed immediately and definitely shouldn't be a task to complete.  Attached is a screen shot showing all the projects to close in the CAD plugin.    Show More

Upchain cloud works well to support several tabs in Google Chrome. One problem we have when using several tabs is that we are not able to quickly differentiate between the several tabs that are open with the Upchain webapp. All of them show the "Upchain" header. So if we dont have the tabs memorized, we have to manually open each page to see its contents. This wastes time.    The ask here is that if the chrome tab header could be updated to show the information on which Project's BOM is open or on which CR or CN page it is, it will further improve our user experience and help significantly with productivity. When we open a support ticket, we ask the question we are looking solved.   When we get a reply there is never the first question asked in the reply string for reference, thus having to login into Autodesk and finding the ticket in question for reference.   Surely it would be super easy to have that first question present in the reply, like when you send an email. Just like Upchain used to have the support setup where you would only have to send a simple email.   The new support ticket system has a lot of redundant steps (that search function for one) and is very time hungry, a simple email support is 100% easier and quicker. The Project details in Plugin refreshes on unncessary scenarios. Scenario 1 - When user is viewing the Project details, then Click somewhere else, Plugin refreshes again Scenario 2 - When user is already in the project, then Clicks Home icon again to view the Project details, Plugin refreshes again Scenario 3 - When user is already in the project, then Clicks the same project in Project dropdown menu, Plugin refreshes again The loading time on Project details is very long sometimes as well so reducing the number of times that plugin refreshes will be beneficial. It would be useful to have Project Specific workflows for CR's. We have a couple of workflows that we use for releasing which are ideally the only ones we want users to see. However the CR UI shows the default system workflow and a sandbox workflow that we created for testing. Users can inadvertently select one of those. It would be good to have a checklist of some sort on the project settings page where you can select which workflows are to be shown under each project. Another use case would be team specific workflows with different set of approvers could be setup. Show More
