The "Summer Solstice" and "Winter Solstice" presets in Revit Solar Studies seem to be hardcoded to the seasons of the Northern Hemisphere. The "Summer Solstice" default still chooses June 21, which is actually the winter solstice in Brisbane, Australia, when a project location is set to that city.
Students and professionals in the Southern Hemisphere may interpret solar studies incorrectly as a result of this confusion.
Recommended remedy:
Use hemisphere-neutral phrases like "June Solstice" and "December Solstice" in place of seasonal labels, or dynamically modify the seasonal names according on project latitude.
