Hello Revit Community,
I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to share an idea that I believe could significantly improve the usability of Autodesk Revit. Currently, the spacebar serves as a convenient shortcut for rotating individual and multiple elements, making it a quick and intuitive tool for designers. However, I think it would be a valuable addition to extend this functionality to model groups as well.
Model groups are a fundamental aspect of many Revit projects, and the ability to easily rotate them with a simple spacebar press could greatly enhance efficiency and user experience. This would align with the user-friendly approach that Revit has always aimed for, streamlining workflows and reducing the need for unnecessary clicks or commands.
My suggestion is to implement the spacebar as a rotation shortcut for model groups, allowing users to select a group and then rotate it using this familiar and intuitive key. This addition would not only make Revit more user-friendly but also enhance productivity, especially for projects with complex geometries or repeated design elements.
I invite fellow Revit users to share their thoughts on this idea and provide feedback. If you believe that this feature could benefit your workflow or if you have additional suggestions for its implementation, please join the discussion. Together, we can help make Revit an even more powerful and user-friendly tool for all of us.
Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I look forward to hearing from the Revit community and Autodesk developers.
Best regards,
R.Hicham
