Revit could (and should) be a lot smarter when it comes to lineweights on elevations. Elevations are so flat looking, and we need to be able to automatically place thicker lines on silhouettes. Revit tries to do this with the "Silhouette" feature in the Model Display, but it's a super limited feature because it doesn't look at the distance to the surface behind it. Depth Cueing starts to show depth on an elevation, but doesn't change the lineweights. We need a "Silhouette Depth Cueing" feature that thickens lineweights by looking at the distance between surfaces. The farther the distance, the thicker the lineweight, and we should be able to control how drastic it applies this. The only way to currently accomplish this is to manually pick lines with the lineweight tool or sure annotation lines, which is quite frankly a waste of time when the model changes and you have to redo it all again.
