I would like an option to show shadows from above the cut plane.
With this option, we could have floor plans with the real sunlight entering through the windows, ground floor plans with the building shadow at the surroundings, etc.
This would be invaluable, also option to turn on shadows from hidden objects, often I need to hide a wall for example to make an item more visible but I would actually like to retain the shadows for effect.
This can be done now with the Camera command and "perspective" turned off (via options bar) during placement. This example below is rendered, but also works for hidden line and shaded view settings. Of course this is a 3D view and not a plan view. So it would be nice to do in plan views as well. But just want to share this...
