Select all rebars in a host

I would very much like a tool or option to select ALL rebars in a host(s) (wall, slab, column, beam, etc), so i can find the total weight/volume of rebars very quickly. Creating an automated schedule of that selected rebars would be wonderful.

I know i can do it by assigning rebars to partitions, but 'rebars by host' i believe would be much faster and easier. Rebar partitions should be considered only for very large concrete objects, and with the use of pour breaks (= another missing option of Revit).

Select any rebar > context menu > Select All Rebar in Host / Select All Rebar by Schedule Mark

Create a rebar schedule > group by Host Mark & Totals

I believe this is a feature in Tekla, but would love to see it in Revit too.

Hi @GHASEM_ARIYANI,

if you click on any rebar and right click on it, you  will see the option to Select all Rebar in Host. With this you will have all rebar hosted in tat element selected. Hope it helps.

Kind regards,
