Room finishing constructor

Room finishing constructor

Idea - is an interface where user could be creating rules for room finishing. In room finishing constructor user create different types of room finishing rules. Then room finishing type must be working as a key parameter for any room, if user will match room finishing type to room. And in room schedule user get areas for wall, floor and ceiling finishing and get for example length of skirting boards.

How it is could be look like:

02.jpg

In first user select arbitrary room and launch room finishing constructor (for axample from propertise pallete). In interface of room finishing constructor, user see the cube (or more complex form) of room and determine finishing for any surface:
1. floor finishing (user can split it and create ratio for different type of finishing) - material and thickness
2, 3. wall finishing (user can split it by height of walls or by elements, for example by windows borders or by different walls) - material and thickness
4. door slopes (in room finishing constructor doors located in nominal position) - material and thickness
5. window slopes (in room finishing constructor, windows located in nominal position) - material and thickness
6. skirting board - material and profile type
7. ceiling finishing (not visible on the screenshot) - material and thickness

In Revit model user has only rooms with attributes without real finishing or skirting boards, but also is possible to make a button which generate all these elements automatically using room finishing type.

1. button for running Room finishing constructor or for choosing the type of room finishing (possibility choosing the type of room finishing could be available also from schedules)
2. list of parameters (value of any parameter depend on Room finishing type)

@samuelsanf yes, this idea has same goal, but I don't sure that real geometry is always better way. My idea - is creating templates for rooms in special constructor, without real finishing although it is possible if user wish.

@Daniel_Voinkov в верхней части страницы, сразу над постом, есть плашка с автоматическим переводом. В целом, он достаточно адекватный, я проверил.

@SuminAV, of course, I'm agree with you. That's why  I say Related Idea (instead of "Duplicated Idea"). I think that the way you are posting here is more complete.

I think if Revit distinguished between material and finish this could be accomplished. Especially allowing you to tag by finish (or painted material). Overall Autodesk does not seem to care about Interior Designers.
