Hello dev team,
Revit Assistant introduces very promising possibilities through natural language interactions. However, an ambiguous, incomplete, or poorly written prompt could lead to unintended modifications to the BIM model.
To increase user confidence and make AI usage safer in complex BIM projects, it would be valuable to introduce a validation system before any modification is applied to the model.
Two Possible Approaches :
1. Optional “Safe Mode”
Add a setting in Revit Assistant allowing users to enable or disable a mode that prevents direct modifications to the model.
When this mode is enabled:
- the Assistant analyzes the prompt,
- prepares the actions to be performed,
- but no modification is automatically applied,
- the user must explicitly validate the proposed changes.
This would allow users to adapt the security level according to their workflow and project context.
2. Warning / Confirmation Dialog Before Execution
Before any modification is applied to the model, automatically display a confirmation dialog showing:
- the actions that will be performed,
- the elements potentially impacted,
- and a warning message indicating that modifications will be applied to the model.
The changes would only be executed after the user validates this confirmation window.
