"In coordination" list

"In coordination" list

Hello,

In Austria we do have often a sort of "ZigZig" cloud in our plans to mark places were coordination is needed. It would be helpful to have a like for those "clouds" as for revisionclouds.

Example see screenshot

Greetings from Vienna

This looks like a filled region with no filling will do the trick. The text can be entered into the region's comments. If you come up with a region type name like Coordination, you can make a schedule filtered down to show only those.

What I want to know is how do you get that line style?

@Ric_Weber It's line based detail family with an array of nested elements. Send me a private message with your email and I'll send you the family (apparantly one is not allowed to attach families here)

@steiner, that's what I was guessing.  In that case, if you really want that shape to the border line, @MiWolff's idea won't help you at all.  (until we can have custom line styles, but that's a whole different idea).  Thanks!!

If the outline is actually to be a zig zag line, I apologize. I just found it simple enough to make shapes using the square/rectangle tool, then rotating those by 45° and trimming everything until only one continuous outline remained. Users helping revit just as we are used to by now.

@MiWolff @Ric_Weber There is nothing to apologize. I think both approaches have their positive and negative points. Filled regions can be scheduled and so a "coordination list" is realized. Graphically they are not so appealing. Detail Families are indivial objects. May be when grouping them a meaningful "coordination list" would be an idea. They carry the infomation about what is meant to be coordinated and programmatically speaking could be tightend toghether trough a specific value for each member of the detailgroup. I think we getting on and will finish by resolving the question. May be a little bit of pyRevit could help for better handling. Awaiting your thoughts. Best Jakob
