Since the Revit 2021.1 version, it's possible to download families from A360. This is already a good evolution, which avoids the installation of libraries on the PCs of each modeler in large companies and makes updating easier.
A very interesting evolution of this tool would be to be able to use the cloud to upload user families linked to a project or an agency.
It would then be possible to share this library with all contributors and facilitate family and version updates.
Currently this type of service is only offered by companies outside autodesk company.
