Instead of changing all units one by one (i.e Area, Cost Per Area, Distance etc.) there should be an option to change everything to a default set. Metric>Imperial or Imperial>Metric with the click of a button. This would cut time to work with units you are familiar with. I'm fairly sure everyone has wondered why this hasn't been an option during their time with Revit
It would be nice to have it as a template so that all the other options within the units category can be specified, such as rounding, unite symbol, suppress 0's, digit grouping and so on. This way you could set up a some standards and quickly switch to them based on the project requirements
I don't know why they have these settings for individual Projects or families. Is there a reason?
Why can't project and family units be controlled under the main Revit Options File> General > Settings > Units? That way, when you edit any family, they will always be in your preferred units.. or is that just too simple?
