New Wall Family- Stacked Wall Horizontal

New Wall Family- Stacked Wall Horizontal

Revit already has a Stacked Wall family, but in our Construction market- Viet Nam- that does not enough for us to create and manage the Model. Because we use the Revit model for Quantification, for creating Shop Drawing... and we need to separate the Wall to Masonry Wall and Finish Wall. With the Finish wall, we can add Room information (Room Name, Room Number) to manage or Quantification. I think you can create another Wall Family- STACKED WALL HORIZONTAL- Masonry Wall in the center and 2 Type Finish Wall on 2 sides. That will reduce a lot of time modeling, after modeling this Stacked Wall horizontal, we can break it up into Basic walls for the next work package

Maybe it just needs some tweaking of the existing staked walls, so walls can overlap?

If Autodesk creates a new function for the existing Stacked Wall- switch between Vertical/ Horizontal- I think that is ok

I can get this result from a staked wall, using a combination of two wall types that both share the same core, but it does have  some limitations.

It is already in roadmap, called Real wall 3D layers
