Would be great to have the option to password protect your pins for really important stuff. Also you could set custom messages that pop up when other users unpin your stuff! You could customize it to say "Please talk to Joe before unpinning."
We used to have a guy in our office create a workset called "Don't Touch" and put everything he didn't want anyone to mess with on that workset. Then he would check out that workset as the owner and never relinquish it.
Of course, you could change your username to his and steal the elements, but that was a big hassle and possibly mess things up.
That's a good way to keep it all safe... however if you are organizing your project via worksets then you would want to retain element workset parameters but still keep everything safe!
