The ability to modify the default angles a pipe can join. This seem to be hard coded with no way of editing. You do have the ability however to turn off angles not required
I'd like the possibility to add my own angles for pipes and ducts. I don't need 22,5° or 11,5°. I need 15° 🙂 but It would be nice if I could add them by my self.
I know existence of the "issue" (yes, this is a bug, nothing else) more than 10 years since i started to use revit 2015.
in "Mechanical Settings"
Could You imagine world outside the US where particular pipe fitting systems DO NOT use angles such 22,5° and 11,25°
but uses angles which are NOT in the "use specific angles" list as an possible option ?
Your option for "use specific angles" we, designers of piping systems still miss the option of add/rewrite/delete particular values from closed list (90°;60°;45°;30°;22.5°;12.25°)
You cannot ever understand how smoothly could be workflow efficiency increased by just this tiny functionality update.
I assume, this small update is not too complicated to implement, easy, this is just a bunch of few code lines to update, which could be done by fesh-graduate employee or internship student.
without this option. the autoroute solution creates pipe connections but with crazy angles no-one want and no-one manufacture.
we are in 21.st century. I am not sure, Autodesk is taking this as a fact or rely on the old product from the old era.
ps.: by the way, is there some cheaper and better alternative for revit ? some Chinese version ?
Here is an example, as you as it seems cannot imagine more than 10 years, that outside from US they people exist and moreover use different manufacturing habits (and much more)
