Lock face based family from moving with host length

Lock face based family from moving with host length

Currently, my face based families, when placed on beams for example, moves when changes the length of the beam, or its ends.

Pinning the face based family doesn't work because it keeps moving and looks like the only option is to create reference planes all over the place to locate in each one my family.

To add the ability to actually lock the family from moving or fix this behavior from face based families.

I would like this issue escalated.

A yes/no parameter to be applied to the family templates of Structural Framing and Structural Columns category of Hosted face based/work plane based elements not to move when the is Family adjusted.

My company uses Structural Framing and Structural Column categories quite often and moving of Hosted Elements happens. Elements move when End is adjusted, but doesn't when Start is adjusted. I see the benefit of Elements moving when applied to end faces, but not when applied to its side faces. I know the difficulty that would come from this change as these are loadable Family Categories that can be manipulated by the end user.

I would be open to discuss this with an Autodesk member to display my experience.
