Label linebreak liability

When editing labels you often have multiple lines of parameters. Some of these need to go in the same row, others need  a line break. Right now (ok, ok, r2025) every parameter added has its own linebreak tick mark. Or rather has not until you click it. It propose to link these to the rows of the label and not the parameter that instigated them. That way standard room tag consisting of number, name, area, circumference, ceiling, wall and floor finishings would retain their line breaks if some project lead wanted the finishes to come before the area.

Would that not be achieved by just having multiple lables in the place you wanted them, @MiWolff?

Maybe ilustrate the cenario with an image, so I (and others like me) can understand better the relevance in your case.

There is a bug that needs to fixed in the break theme, though, that I have just reported yesterday to Autodesk (and that they have identified in 2019 and apparently have not solved yet, though they think they did):

'Breaks' between parameters does not work if the preceding parameter is empty or not filled in a Ann...

So I actually do not want the feature you re asking for, because I do want the break to removed if the respective parameter doesn't exist.

My example is in title blocks for sheet names where some disciplines may need the 1 or 2 titles depending on the case and only after the sheet name, and I want the sheet name to move to the top if there is no need for extra titles, so the blank spaces doesn't look strange.

If it is indeed needed, then make it as an option tick after the standard break-tick.

Labels need a complete overhaul to make them multi-line in the first place.

As a work-around, we add line feed characters (ALT 010) to split lines into multi-lines. By far ideal...
