Right now, when I create the PDF (The same way I have done for almost a decade) I have to have the white background UI settings so that when I create a PDF my everything that has masking are not being created in black.
The below images, the only thing I did differently is change the UI active theme from Dark to Light in:
We have been using the Bluebeam print for years and we have some folks using the Dark Theme and have never had this issue. I just tested it some. I'm not sure what's going on there, but mine works fine. I even tried playing with some settings to see if I could make it do it. I put a masking region into a view and it printed correctly. I have text that has an opaque background, that worked fine. Have you tried the Export to PDF? Does it do the same thing?
The one suggestion I can provide to make life a little better is instead of going to File --> Options --> Color -- UI active theme:, you can go to View>Canvas Theme (far right). That also can be added to your QAT for faster access as well. Hope that helps a little.
To clarify, I am printing to Bluebeam Revu as the printer, not exporting via a third-party PDF tool. The behavior is the same whether an HP or Epson printer is selected. This worked without issue before Revit 2025. The problem began only after upgrading to 2025.
This was an issue with Bluebeam... right after my last response... a notification window popped up on my screen for an update... I laughed saying "what timing"... to say the least, this resolved my conflict!
Thanks for the suggestions and input and tips... had I known an update was coming... obviously I would not have wasted your time.
