We often get model in IFC from our "road and various networks" partners ("VRD" in french, sorry for translation).
When we open their model in Revit (File - Open - IFC), every plateform that was designed in their tool, as soon as it's not totally flat, is interprated as an In-Place floor and not native floor.
In projects, almost all platforms are not flat. Consequences in Revit:
- We can't hide interior triangulation edges (see attached image) -> It looks horrible in plan view
- We can't annotate spot elevation/coordinates -> We can't check if the model is correctly linked
- We can't punctually modify floor shape or floor materials, if needed.
- We can't host our objects on In-Place floors.
