Gradient filled Region Pattern

Gradient filled Region Pattern

Revit needs a gradient  filled region pattern that is linear and radial, the same as the gradient hatch pattern in AutoCAD.

Ability to have color gradient fill in fill regions and 2d detail Materials fill patterns

It has been long as Autodesk Revit promised to improve the hatch pattern options in Revit 2015.

We are in Revit 2018 and still it is not resolved. Just like AutoCAD, why we can not have different options for patterns?

Archicad has done it, why it has been a issue for Revit development team?

When working with stone type patterns, traditionally architects have used a "fade" in order to imply that something might continue on, but not be strictly controlled. This would be VERY helpful when trying to elevate stonework. I'm sure there are other uses as well: maybe a workaround for distance fade if the model is too heavy to accommodate the graphics.

It would be nice to use a gradient solid.

Autocad can do this for a basic hatch.  Please add to Revit!  It will make the landscape areas of a site plan look sooooo much better

It would make the landscape areas of a presentation site plan look soo much better if we had the ability to set two colors / gradient.  Autocad can do it, plz add to Revit!!!

Agreed, this is seriously lacking for site plans.

I agree, better if that do not force views to be printed as raster image (maintain vectorial PDF output).

Also this idea is duplicated:

There is a related idea (not about Masking Region, but Fillet Regions):

Regiões preenchidas com gradiente seriam úteis, por exemplo, para simular efeitos de iluminação em uma vista

Hello, @tatyregis ,

Gradient background is possible using the Graphic Display Options - Background - Gradient setting. Does this solve what you are needing?

now in 2023 and can't find a gradient fill pattern. Has anyone found a good work around?

As a trick; you can create a transparent gradient in Photoshop, then import it in Revit as PNG. Result is better than nothing.
