It would be useful to have a Global Parameter in the family environment. For example, I may have 5 different standard lengths for Linear lights, therefore 5 types. But all would have the same Watts per Foot that I'd like to be able to control in one single location.
@Simon_Weel that suggestion only works for standard unit length items. LED Tape light is cut-to-size, so can be linear fixtures. There are plenty of other use cases for ' a single value within a family that can be modified in the project environment'. Yes, I could map to a Global (Project) Parameter, but then you might need multiple for different style fixtures, etc. To be able to set a value within upon the family (but within the project environment) would be beneficial.
