Fix Material Tags

Material tags don't seem to find their host correctly on first placement and usually require a leader or a slight shift of the tag to populate. Second material tags tend to fall off their host with the smallest change unlike other tags, which is why I generally avoid them, but our firm does use them for glazing types for example. And while I understand why there is no tag all not tagged option as that could be very messy in most views, perhaps limiting to selection first for tag all not tagged would make repetitive tagging somewhat easier.

A warning showing tags with mark "?", to lessen time looking for such error or republishing work. It will also save time, checking other important elements.

I added my vote specifically for the "fix the issue where a material needs to be 'jiggled' a bit to fix the '?' ". This happens all the time, when we open an elevation view for example, and now half the material tags are saying '?'. Although they are still perfectly on top of a face. We then need to move them up and down a bit (using the arrow keys for example so they go back in the exact same place they were before) and that seems to update them. It would be really nice if this bug could be fixed.

"pyRevit/Views/Remove empty tags" might be helpful.

I usually do a 'select all in project' then use my cursor keys to move left then right and all keynote tags fix at once. Very annoying when you issue drawings and there are '?' everywhere. Very frustrating Autodesk!

We've had this issue at our office, where material tags will often "lose" their displayed values when small tweaks (like a slight shift in location) are made to the elements being tagged. It also happens when there is a filled region drawn "in front of" the element. On a call with Autodesk reps, we concluded it is likely happening because the "Free End" attachment of Material tags is a bit flimsy and often causes the tag to lose its association with the host. It can be fixed by nudging the tag, but it raises the concern of having to check all tags for "blanks" before a drawing submission.

This is a long standing issue with material tags which happens both with and without leaders.

Currently we just do a select all in entire project and nudge them left and right with the arrow keys. As long as you don't zoom in or out between nudges they will end up back in the same spot.
