Export to Datasmith to be included in Revit LT

Export to Datasmith to be included in Revit LT

Since Revit LT does not allow addons, I think its not too much to ask for Revit LT users to get access to the world of Epic visualization tools like Twinmotion and Unreal Engine.

I also know that there is a already a partnership between Autodesk and Epic and its really unfortunate that the amazing Epic visualization tools are among other things that are missing and beyond reach for Revit LT users.

I'm pretty sure Revit LT can still export to .fbx.

As for access to Twinmotion, this is intentional. You are paying for a light version of Revit, so you're not going to get access to everything. Not saying I agree with Autodesk's pricing models, but it is what it is.

@mhiserZFHXS  I know you can export FBX..but I think you dont have the update features, if I am not wrong?

I mean if you change the model and/or the textures, do you have any option to keep what you already changed in Twinmotion?

I know it is part of their plan..but I am just saying, that would not be such a big loss for Autodesk, I think  visualization has changed alot in recent years and should be included in LT version. As you know already there are alot of other things missing from Revit LT, is not like this would give you access to them. And even LT users, no matter the size and the project budget, you still need visualization in for the current standards..

Maybe if enough users would ask and vote for this, it could make a difference someday...
