Dimension snapping order

Dimension snapping order

There should be a logical order of snapping when drawing dimensions (when there are concurrent references), e.g:

- Walls

- Columns

- Framing

- Floors

- Roofs

...

(the most important thing is that the dimensions don't snap to furniture, casework etc. first)

maybe this could even be a custom setting

Completely agree. My workaround workflow now is isolating the categories and the dimension style before I begin dimensioning.

It would be great if in the dimension options (when placing dimensions) there was a option for selecting certain categories.

@PieterL_TM We all know how incredibly bad the Revit dimensioning tool is. Revit should have resizable snap points and resizable grips like Autocad has. The most important option should be a Selection Cycling window like in Autocad, where you can select which object you want to select or to snap on.
