Would love to have custom arrow heads. This needs to be added.

I don't understand why this is not already in Revit. Especially given that Autodesk has had this thread linked from their knowledge base page on arrowheads: Here.

I need to add a cross target symbol without a circle around it to my project per our office standard.

it sucks if we are not able to do what we want in general. let's be able to create custom arrowhead like we create family when needed.

I am not exactly sure why this wasn't part of REVIT 1901, (0.0), or whatever naming conventions are appropriate but it is LOOOOONNNGGG overdue!

In Arrowhead Settings, can we have the option for a heavy end Open Arrowhead? Just the Arrowhead and with adjustable angle, please!

thanks 🙂

This is already on the software

Arrow.PNG

Arrow width Angle adjusts the angle & no tick in arrow closed has an open end. If this is not what you are after more explanation required.

@spowell  Does @wr.marshall 's suggestion resolve your request?

It seems pretty sad that this very simple add is not already addressed. It is a very basic procedure. Please add this functionality... it has been being requested for 20 years.

@kimberly_fuhrman-jones I don't believe it does. I have the same request and I know many others do as well.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/allow-lineweights-for-arrowheads/idi-p/6329582

The lineweight option is grayed out in @wr.marshall's response. The arrowhead defaults to whatever lineweight the leader line is set to in the project object styles, typically 1.

We can change the lineweight for the thick end arrowhead type, why not all arrowhead types?

@magermanoai  Thank you for the additional clarification!

If AutoCAD can do it using blocks, Revit should be able to customize arrowheads customizing families.

It's issues like this that cause so much frustration in Revit.

At the firm I work for, we use just a crosshair symbol for our spot grades and while there's currently only a small list of options for arrows, I'd like it if you could open that feature up to further customization or just add one that doesn't include the circle around the elevation target. Seems like an easy thing to do and not sure why this is so locked down.

+1

We could really use something like this:
