Control or remove contour label background

We need a way to control the color of or remove the contour label background.

It looks awfull as you can see here:

Hi ADSK,

Can we please include the option to have the contour label transparent. This is to allow a raster image to show rather than big ugly white outs.

I get that the whiteout is breaking the line in a normal drafting view, but if we could set to transparent and offset from the contour line, would be an option, even though not ideal certainly would help

Agreed and site plans are where these contour labels are mostly used!!!

The contour label should have the ability to be changed to 'transparent' like other labels

I just discovered this today, on a colored background...looks awful.

Please insert parameter opaque/transparent in the edit type of the contour labels.

yes, please please autodesk allow transparent text background. it looks terrible without that.
