It used to be that you could be careful to not separate the link by stretching the grip, not the head/tail. Now it's never linked. Very annoying to me, they made it worse, not better. There should be a way to lock them together so they do not separate.
Update: coping doesn't always work but if you "Copy To Clipboard" delete and the paste "Aligned To Same Placed" then the section tail/head moves with section crop region ends.
