Currently the Autodesk COBie Extension for Revit allows us to export COBie.Type and COBie.Component data from families in project models.
There are occasions on projects where model groups are used heavily to standardise repetitive elements of the project. Examples such as, Apartment suite types, Washroom arrangements, building Core (Stair / Elevator / Service Shafts).
Where this is the case we are able to schedule information from in the model groups. However in order to export COBie files via the Autodesk extension, model groups must be ungrouped prior to export. This generally produces lots of warnings and errors, including the "Delete Type" error, meaning much data can be lost through this process.
Please provide the ability for the COBie Extension to export data from elements within Model Groups.
