closing tabs should progress in a logical order

After clicking "Close Inactive Windows" with multiple project family files open, I started closing the tabs. However, each time I closed a tab, the next tab that was selected what somewhere unexpected (from the middle, to left, to right...) - it was jumping all over the place. I was expecting to be able to just click the close box on each tab from right to left like in a web browser (or alternatively from left to right - i.e. in the same place). Instead, it probably is going to the last used view, which doesn't always make sense - at least after clicking "Close Inactive Windows".

In this case (and as is often the case after clicking "Close Inactive Windows"), I wanted to close all projects, so having a "Close All" command in the File menu would also serve the purpose. However, sometimes I want to keep one (or two) projects open and just close all others (which means I need to decide for each tab whether to close it or not). Another solution might be to have a way to selectively close open projects, or at least close the current project (without having to click "Close Inactive Windows" first).

NOTE: closing a tab/window should [STILL] stay in the same project, but when there's no other views open (from that project), then it should go to the adjacent tab.
