AI for proportions

AI for proportions

hi it would serve the profession to have an AI based support tool that would look at the building or building components, such as a full height storefront, for example, and suggest changes to its design based on the time-proven rules of proportion and scale, which have been largely lost due to modern school curricula and the designer's  interfacing with computer drawings.

Lets just turn our built world into AI slop...

The things you are citing are not "time-proven rules." They are aesthetics, decisions made by an architect to accomplish a vision. We are not bound to these, and a machine should not be making such decisions.

No thanks.

Many different designs have been 'proven' by time. There might be regional preferences that have been honed by nuances in material costs, or code enforcement, or local ordinances. I wouldn't call these rules.

With that said, what you're suggesting has already been achievable for roughly 8ish years. Build a Generative Design exploration configured to what you consider 'good' weighting in terms of proportion and scale (and as many other metrics you can think of incorporating into a weighting formula), and run your designs against it to seek refinement.
