Most of the time while modelling, we want to select elements and assign properties to them. in these situations we have two options. first is to click each elements and holding ctrl key and click on the other one. second is to left click and hold to make a rectangular border, right side or left side, and select every elements we want.
In my opinion it is so essential to add select tool in ribbons and make click drag so easier that be possible to make selection lines throw elements in each direction to select collided ones.
