Shortcut to place a specific predefined family

Does Revit have the ability to define a shortcut that will place a specific family?

IE, I type 'NO' as the shortcut and an instance of the 'Internal Note' generic annotation family is pulled up and ready to be placed with a click of the mouse, just as if I had dragged the 'Internal Note' family over from the Project Browser to place it.

I did not see the ability to do so in the Keyboard Shortcuts dialogue.  It looks like it may be possible via Dynamo, but I haven't ventured down that rabbit hole yet.

I do not think Dynamo is the solution for this. I believe Dynamo will not work with events, so catching keyboard shortcuts will not be possible. You would need to write an add-in to get this functionality

"CS" Create similar is the closest you can get in Revit.

Just Keep a view, or library of all the families at one place in the project if possible,

and "Select the one you need" and Create similar.
