How to let families show through a filled region

So, I'm cleaning up a site plan and I realize someone (I swear it wasn't me!) drew the site as filled regions. Ridiculous, right!? I would have drawn it as subregion topography! My question is, if I want to place more components in the view (such as this truck), how can I get it to show as white through the filled region, barring redrawing the whole thing as subregions? My best guess is to trace a hole in the filled region that's the same shape as the component. That would be a pain in the ass, so if you know better solution, please let me know!

Just use Visibility and Graphics Overrides for the element or category.

I just replied in another thread to a very similar issue. If using 2019 the setting in the type properties of the filled region is slightly different than in previous versions.
