xgen interactive doesn't generate hairs , how to solve ?

i've double check that the xgen plugin is loaded , but once i order the "create intreractive groom splines' nothing appears on the poly surface , please help , what should i do ?

Hi! Did you have the geometry selected when you went to create the xgen hair? Also, did any warnings or errors pop up when you tried this? Let me know if anything changes!

of course i select the geometry "poly" & then i choose from generate "create interactive groom splines" , also i tried to keep the script editor open while i repeat the try with a new file but nothing pop ups over there , neither error message nor any message at all in the script editor

Hi! You need Viewport 2.0, Legacy Viewports can't display XGen Interactive.

What does this mean?

You can't activate it, or

you can activate it, but XGen will still not be shown?

 

Also check in Outliner if the XGen description will be created.

once i check on the viewport 2 under the renderer in viewport , the viewport2 doesn't apply .

Hi! Then there is a problem with your GPU / driver. - Make sure you use a proper 3D graphic card for Maya. - Update graphic card driver (maybe just re-install after an OS update), or - downgrade graphic card driver. - Try different Viewport modes (in Preferences).
