Apprentice, can't access drawing symbols & part lists

We are moving away from generating BOM's inside Inventor and using Apprentice through the assembly.  There are a few things I need from the drawing file though.  I have reviewed the document below from 2011 which only lists a few things I can obtain from the drawing in Apprentice.  I would like to access the sketched symbols and custom build tables.  Before I assume not, I just want to make sure these are not available through Apprentice currently.  Both say not supported when I try to get to them.

They are not available through Apprentice and I wouldn't expect this to change.  If they are all you're missing, one workaround would be to write an add-in that would run in the drawing when you save it and extract whatever information you need from the drawing symbols and parts lists and save it as either an iProperty or attribute, both of which are accessible through Apprentice.

Hi,

Are you using Vault Pro or Workgroup?

Then there are other possibilities to extract this data.

You could use Inventor Server for this.

Please let me know if you need more info regarding this?

I am familiar with automating other packages through  its com object. If I have the libraries, the exposed objects and methods I am confident I can  do it.
