In Vault you can only do a revision of a file (ex. ipt, iam, ex). Than, if for example, I create a part Test.ipt that manages 2 Model States inside Itself, in Vault I cannot revise these last two. But only the first one, the original. Is It possible to add a tool like "create components" but with the aim to generate new parts  .ipt for each Model State, maintaining the relationship with the original one? In this way I'll be able to continue to manage and modify from the original part the two Model States, the two parts generated from the Model States will be updated, and than I'll be able to manage the revisions separately.  Naturally the same tool to manage iam assembly in the same way...   Show More

Please add the ability to bring colour along with mesh imports. Im importing a mesh model from Cyclone 3DR and it looks amazing in 3DR. When I open it Inventor it looks awful. I see other people have also had this issue. When presenting a drawing / screenshots from within Inventor it would be great to see your design and the mesh model with the real world colours on it. With almost every file/assembly/folder in Inventor, you can right-click and get the option to 'Open File Location'. I want that dialogue box to also show up for the 'Revit Exports'... especially since you're very likely going to have it be saving to an ACC pathed folder outside of the working/Vault project. Diversificar o estilo de cotas no desenho, como por exemplo as cotas padrões vem na cor preta, e as referencias tambem por ser a cota principal, mas tem desenho que a referência acaba não sendo relevante. E seria legal colocar a referência com uma cor modificavel, como quando coloca tolerancia. Na tolerancia é possivel trocar a cor e estilo em relação a cota principal, mas os outros formatos de cota, não tem essa opção. Hola, presento un caso que tenemos muchas veces, teniendo una sencilla solución. Estamos en un control numérico (CNC) y necesitamos mecanizar una pieza circular. Para poder mecanizar las pieza circular es necesario un bruto de pieza. Es necesario una herramienta que nos deje realizar un bruto de pieza Sobre X,Y,Z. enlazando las dos piezas como si fueran la pieza Bruto el padre y la pieza circular el hijo. Cuando realizamos un ensamble estas piezas podrían salir en la lista de piezas de una manera que se entienda que para fabricar el circulo en CNC, primero es necesario cortar una pieza con medidas xyz de la pieza en bruto. Hola. Cuando dibujamos en INVENTOR AUTODESK, la mayoría de veces las piezas son fabricadas en CNC de todo tipo. Cuando dibujamos una pieza con forma, terminamos necesitando un bruto de pieza,  y es necesario gestionar esa pieza de bruto con tablas que indiquen que cada bruto esta relacionado con una pieza. Hallo wertes Autodesk Team und liebe Community! Ich wollte vor kurzem bei einem Metallwinkel mehrere Modelzustände erstellen, wo es bei einem gleichen Bohrlochabstand eine verschiedene Anzahl von Bohrlöchern gibt.  Aktuell ist es so, dass bei abgeschaltener Familienbereichseinstellung bei der Bearbeitungsvariante von Modelzuständen die Bohrlöcher auch in anderen Modelzuständen gelöscht werden, wenn diese im Bohrlochtool abgewählt werden. Mein aktueller Workaround ist folgender: In aktuellem Modelzustand, wo ein Bohrloch weniger sein soll, eine Extrusion erstellen, die sich nur auf den aktuellen Modelzustand auswirkt. Dies ist allerdings ein unnötiger Zeitaufwand und Zwischenschritt. Auch ein Unterdrücken des Bohrpunktes in der Skizze funktioniert nicht. I have this snippet below of constraint to an assembly, "VLG 6P OP Sprocket Assy:1" and within it is an iAssembly, "HVD562 L.H. WB IDLER DROP BRACKET 6P:1" which changes within the upper assembly depending on a given parameter.  I find that this constraint doesn't stick when the iAssembly changes.  I believe this "Proxy:Edge2" is the culprit and that this already have a solution which I can't find.  please assist.  I want to be able to put a constraint on it so I can change the orientation of this  "VLG 6P OP Sprocket Assy:1" in my assembly via iLogic.  It seems this "Proxy edge" changes everytime I change the iAssembly.  I apologize for if I'm not able to explain the situation well enough but this should get the ball rollin. It would be cool if when I measure a distance or an angle or an area so I can paste the value to make an adjustment in a mating part/assembly. For instance: Distance: 6.000"  @1 Angle: 45° @2 Area: 245" @3   When I go to my mating file, if I want the distance, I type @1. If I want to change the angle, I type @2. And for the area, @3.   I know I can copy and paste, but frequently, the reason I'm measuring is to put that value somewhere else. Is this doable? Show More

Aside from using various types of CNC machines, I also use 3D Printers. I would like to be able to import a JPG (or similar file) to easily trace lines and images, extrude then convert to STL or STEP. This feature would open up a new world for Inventor users. Hello, I'd like to suggest the possibility of editing presentation trails from within the drawing. It occurred to me that it was kind of clunky to make adjustments to the tweak trails because you have to toggle back and forth from the presentation file and the drawing to make small tweak adjustments. I think it would be much easier, and more productive, to be able to make small adjustments to the tweaks from the drawing. I appreciate any consideration to the idea!   Thanks, John Show More
