Tolerance to be displayed only for Primary units

 tolerance setting.jpg

I found that in the Inventor settings - Manage style editor for dimension . Inventor has option to set tolerance only for both primary and alternate units at a time and doesn't have the option to show tolerance only for Primary units.

Is there any such option in the Manage style editor . Please see the above image for further clarity of the problem

Thankyou

Hi,

I don't know of any specific setting for this case but maybe you can try following Display Option: Zero Tolerance Display: Suppress Display

That way zero tolerances should not be displayed.

Hope this helps,

Many thanks for the reply . The option that you told is not working . Still the Tolerance of alternate dimensions are displaying as +0 -0

This question has been asked at least twice.  In both cases an Autodesk employee provided a useless answer. Again, in both cases, the Autodesk employee failed to respond to the original poster when he/she explained that Autodesk's answer was incorrect, misguided, or otherwise missed the mark.

Hi! Please refer to the reply on the other thread. Indeed, there isn't a workflow to do that in Inventor. Neither prior solutions worked, since the control is only for both (primary and alternate) tolerances, not for just one.

I believe AutoCAD Mechanical offers such workflow. Please use VIEWBASE command in AutoCAD to create associative drawing views to Inventor components. Then annotate accordingly.

Many thanks!
