Importing Revit model into inventor, error.

I am trying to import a revit model into inventor. I have previously been successful doing this but I am now getting an error stating that the revit model is not valid for placement.  There is only one model, one version in the folder being placed into a new inventor assembly via the place cad file option.

I have recently downloaded revit and have had license issue due to working for a company and some of the software being in my name and some in the companies.

Has anyone had this error or can anyone suggest  a solution.

Any help is apprieciated.

Hi Kate,

Two things to check. 1) The Inventor on your machine has to be the same as or newer than the Revit release that saved the file. 2) The Revit Interop component needs to be installed on the machine.

Please feel free to share the Revit file so the forum experts can help take a look.

Many thanks!
