Hello to the Fusion Design Community!

In anticipation of the November update going out in the next couple of weeks, we've again decided to do an early drop on the details of what community reported bugs have been addressed this time around! If you want to get an early jump on these fixes, you're more than welcome to apply for the Insider Program and get early access!

We greatly appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to notify us of the issues that you find in Fusion, and we would like to show that appreciation!

In an ongoing effort to increase our transparency as well as our communication with you, we're continuing with our initiative of calling out all the Forum Reported bug fixes that are included in each update. The list below comprises all the issues that have been raised by our engaged community. So, without further ado, here is what we're going to see in the November 2024 update (creator of forum thread and the thread itself, in no particular order):

Design

Renaming an object in the Timeline should no longer result in confusing names

@Christoph_360

We should no longer be giving you orthographic projection at random

@alan.jonesXHXUF

Pick Circle/Arc Tangent should now behave more appropriately

@Christoph_360

You should be able to name a parameter/dimension when size is already established

@HughesTooling

Sketch points should now be displayed when visibility is toggled “ON”

@Latheboy

“Insert Point” should now be available

@oprcmr00

It should now be possible to get thumbnail images from the Data Panel/Components

@dgorski

Dimensioning two concentric circles should no longer remove constraints

@Ollie_Norris

Mirrored joints shouldn’t be visible if parent visibility is set to Off

@etfrench

Extrude cutting shouldn’t make the body invisible

@cmcdonaldXHNC9

“Auto Update” should now stay off if it’s been set to “Off”

@Julie_7

Sweep” should be a bit more resilient against parameter changes

@cdelguercio

DXF Export should now include free-standing “points” in the export

@Shamusmathers

“Extrude Cut” should do a better job with this model

@muttakiunlu

Fusion shouldn’t freeze solid if trying to apply Threads to intersecting holes

@mippen

Extrude should do a better job with To Object and Distance (for bi-directional)

@Beyondforce

“Thicken” should do a better job when editing this dimension for the model

@TheCADWhisperer

Hybrid Subdivision should produce a more consistent result

@TrippyLighting

Surface Trim should no longer cut the wrong half after sketch edit

@Neil_Cross

Just as in prior updates, this isn’t to suggest that those are the only fixes that we've included in the update. The list above are the issues specific to what’s been reported by the Design community; within this update our team has additionally found and fixed well over 100 different bugs and issues.

Still haven’t seen your issue on the list and wondering if/when it's going to get fixed? Don't hesitate to "bump" the original thread that you created, and I'll be happy to chase down the status of your issue!

Thanks for contributing to what makes the software truly great!

It's still unresolved, but feel free to check in again a month or two from now to see if there's been any traction on this!

Hello Seth, is there any news about the status of the flat pattern properties improvement?

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-support/flat-pattern-part-number/m-p/13065053/highlight/true#M...

Sorry to ask again but this really takes a lot of time in automated drawings...
Thank you in advance!

Sorry, it's still not progressed. I've pinged one of the developers who might be able to get this delivered, hopefully we can improve the experience..
