In the new Autodesk Account (top menu bar) there is no way to search or filter by Team Name. When you have hundreds of teams it makes it very difficult to find what you are looking for. I suggest that Autodesk adds either an option to Search by "Team Name" or an option to filter "By Team Name". In the previous version of the Autodesk Account (side menu bar), you could select the team name from a drop down list so in essence a filter. This needs to happen ASAP as it is effecting workflow.

Hi team, We are having major issues (reseller) with new licenses purchased by our clients constantly placing themselves into unsolicited teams. The issue with new licenses placing themselves into unsolicited teams continues to be a major frustration as large chunks of my working days are spent on live chats getting these fixed. Initially I thought that if a new seat was added to an existing contract, that seat would then place itself into the team that contract is aligned to - this seemed to be the case for a while. Where as additional seats that weren't added onto an existing contract, would trigger the creation of a new team. Recently it seems to have been flipped on its head and now additional seats added to existing contracts have been placed into entirely new teams? I have also seen new licenses placed into "new" contracts be pooled into an existing team, but then also new teams created on other occasions. It's becoming unpredictable and we really need a better method of how new licenses are placed into teams...

Create a log/view when an admin invites and adds a user, assigns or unassigns a product to a user, or deletes a user from their team, account. Admins have voiced frustration about over not having this information, and don't know how the users / licenses may have got unassigned and reassigned to someone else, as their are many admins that might be controlling it. With the transition to named users this type of information was available through 3rd party apps for network licenses.

The Good Earlier in the year Autodesk provided a great new feature called Seat Reporting that became available to any user who is under the role of contract manager (CM) or software coordinator (SC) (or primary/secondary user under the newer system). The Bad However, the exported CSV file does not show the same information found under the Seat Usage report when done directly on the Autodesk service site. Instead of providing an Autodesk username for each user in the report a column titled hashed_user_id in included. The Change My understanding is that the hashed user id information does not change per user, so it is possible to identify which hashed_user_id field belongs to which user after careful comparison between user use times/dates and the report, however, it would be better if the proper username was displayed instead or along with the hashed_user_id during CSV exports. No quick way of deleting several users at the same time. It would be useful to have this option (similar to the already existing option to invite several users). Imagine, having to delete more than 100 users manually one by one!

It would be useful for customers with a large user base (+300 licenses / 20+ user inside Autodesk Account) to have details about the user that are under a contract, like country and / or business unit. Currently, we only have name and email address and associated roles.

It is getting more and more tedious to manage users, assigning licenses and cloud services. It's like thowing money out the window contributing absolutely nothing to our projects that we're trying to optimize as much as possible. I would love to see Active Directory integration so that users from my AD was created automatically and deleted when thay left our company (was deleted from AD). I know that a lot of other software vendors use this technique (even quite small vendors), so for a large vendor as Autodesk to implement AD integration should be an obvious service to license managers.

This doesn't change licensing, it simply allows for account managers to create "departments" to which they can assign users, to promote better organization and enable easier identification of users using the product(s). For example, I would create Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Commissioning. Then I would assign each user to one of those Departments based on their discipline. I would like to be able to expand each department, individually and collectively, to see the assigned users. I would still expect the same sorting options with each category.

Create a subheading on the left panel of the account that says "Support Cases" for easier access and modernize details page of the support cases.

It would be very useful for customers with a large contracts base to have possibility search contract number using product serial number.

I think it would be a great addition to the management portal if admins and secondary admins could import/export user assignments that will help populate the name and emails for any users. This is extremely annoying when you set up users in the classic view and then have to set them up again for the "new" way of doing things especially when 100s of users are required for full setup.

On the left is "Classic User Management". The add new user form is clear and easy to use. On the right is "User Management". Is this supposed to be the newer of the two ways to do this? The method of entry on the right terrible, mostly in that if you start entering data and the form loses focus, your partial entry becomes invalid and you have to delete it and start over. Not good if you are copying data from another location. See below:

A separate tab or section with an audit trail of what has been happening within an Autodesk Account, who made changes, and when would save a considerable amount of time for administrators and most likely decrease unnecessary interaction between the account admins and the Autodesk support teams.

When changes are performed on an Autodesk account the end user is sent an email notifying them of this change. The emails are very generic today and I believe 2 changes would make them more useful: 1. Include in the body of the email what actually has changed. For example, if I granted someone Collaboration for Revit access the notification email should say this. Today the email only tells the user that a change was made. 2. The notification always mentions how a company account admin made the change on the account. This happens even when someone from Autodesk is making changes. If Autodesk is making the change to the account can the email be modified so it says that Autodesk made the change as opposed to someone from my company.

It would be very beneficial to be able to pull up a log of all changes done on Autodesk accounts in our company. Specifically I'd be looking at times when permissions were added/deleted to an account and by who. Some times I will have people call in asking why they can't perform a certain task any longer (e.g. Rendering) and without an audit log I cannot tell if the user did have this right or not in the past.

I´m an employee of the Platinum partner of Autodesk NKE CAD Systems in Spain. I have received several complaints of clients about the user administration functionality of the new view for the licenses of the activation type "Sign-in". In the new view it is not possible to assign a specific contract or license number to a specific user. This is an important lack of functionality. Lots of clients need to know which contract should be assigned to a user. They can have several contract with different end dates. The correct contract (and corresponding end date) should be assigned the correct user. Without this functionality the administrator of several contracts does not have the tools to administrate correctly. I´m very surprised about the lack of this functionality and I think it very urgent for Autodesk to include this functionality. Clients will claim Autodesk to know which serial number is assigned to a specific user. Now, there is no way to find out.

In Autodesk Account-classic view, please add the ability for Contract Managers to see what serial number each Software Coordinator is assigned to. Currently you can only see the contract # but there's no serial number listed. If you need to manage your Software Coordinators with a large amount of serial numbers it's difficult.

Hello, In the current system, the best way I know of to identify the User who has been assigned the role of Software Coordinator for a Product is as follows: 1. To View the name of the Software Coordinator for a Product a. Click on the "All Products & Services" menu item. b. Click on the Product (e.g. AutoCAD) c. Click on the Contract Details link and make a note of the Contract Number (e.g. #11000077xxxx) d. Click on the Users Tab e. Repeat until Found: i. Click on the ">" to the left of the User Name ii. In the User Info Section, look for a heading named "Software Coordinator" and under that heading look for a Contract Number that matches the one noted above, if it is present than this User is the Software Coordinator, other wise continue. An improvement would be to add the name of the Software Coordinator the the Contact Detials page, near each Serial Number since each SN has a unique SC. This will eliminated the manual recording of the Contract Number and the manual searching through the list of Users.

Hello, the deployment with SCCM is a mess at the moment. When you want to deploy different products or even different suites the autodesk installation tools allways want to install all components and so on. For example I want to make it possible that users can install addidtional programs on demand: AutoCAD is allready installed and user needs Revit. So both comes of 1 suite, but needs a whole and complete installation package. So in both packages are .net and so on included. So if users are on different locations or on the road the whole package is downloaded even if not needed. Why isn't there a templete for all these small installations and programs and so on which are needed for the sccm, so we can import it. So the clients just need to download and install what the really need. Thanks!
