If you enable single sign-on with Autodesk, all users of the whole domain will be enabled for single sign-on. This leads to problems for diversified companies with a few thousand users, as there is no central contact person for companies who can provide information about the involved users. If internal policies prohibit the use of alias accounts, they cannot be used. This is/was the case with our purchasing organizations worldwide. Although they do not use licenses, they must have an account with AutoDesk after the conversion of the order processes. A personal account is not helpful in this case because of representative regulations. We had to reverse a change that had already been made (see support case 23215393 of October 21, 2024). As a CAD Manager, it’s often necessary for me to work on two machines simultaneously. When employees leave the company, I need to access their systems to check in files, a process that can take significant time to complete. Meanwhile, I’m unable to continue working on my own tasks, as Autodesk now limits active sessions to just one per user. I propose allowing users to be assigned multiple licenses for the same product. Since we are paying for these licenses, we should have the flexibility to utilize each one as needed. Currently, there is no option for this in the Manage portal, which restricts our productivity. We would like you to add a new option called something like "Assign unique ID to deployment on user's machine" to the Custom Install deployment configuration. Selecting this option would direct the installer to install the product with a unique registry MSI GUID. Currently, all builds of the same base version (e.g. Inventor 2024) install using the same GUID value: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{GUID}. This leads to problems with the default detection logic used by Windows deployment platforms such as SCCM/Software Center and Intune/Company Portal.   By default, the detection logic used by these platforms key off this GUID to determine whether or not a specific product build is installed. Because this GUID is identical across all builds of the same base product version (e.g. Inventor 2024), a deployment platform can't easily distinguish one build from another when determining which one is installed on a user's machine. For example, the platform can't use this GUID to determine which of the many versions of Inventor 2024.x.x is installed. Likewise, the platform can't use this GUID to distinguish a deployment customized to install both Inventor and Read-only mode from a deployment customized to install only Inventor Read-only mode (without Inventor).   When all builds of the same base version (e.g. Inventor 2024) look the same to a deployment platform (because they all have the same MSI GUID), this non-uniqueness leads to problems, such as the platform reporting multiple versions of a product are installed on a user's PC when of course only one is, or the platform being unable to prevent a user's attempt to install one build on top of another for which that installation sequence is known to fail.   Show More

I would like to propose an idea for improvement, in the Bim 360 system there was an option to add images to Issues straight from a computer. The ACC system does not have this option, it is only open to users with a Build license. For the consultants team, this option is important in order to upload screenshots or any other image to communicate with other team members inside the Issue tool. I would love for you to add the option just like it was in the Bim 360 system. I understand this may not currently be possible, but during renewals, it becomes challenging for customers to track specific users—especially if a user has left the company or moved to another project. Hello Autodesk, There is now the option in the account to set up an email ban for frequency of use for primary and secondary administrators. In large companies it is often the case that these administrators are part of the IT team and are usually not the active users of the software used. Often these administrators have not even installed the software used by the company. When Autodesk software is installed, Autodesk Access is installed and users are automatically notified when a new update is available for the software they are using. At the moment, administrators have to actively go into the Autodesk account and set the filter for product updates according to the software used in the company and then see whether new updates are available. The idea is now that the administrators can set up an update notification in the account. In the new entry in the account, the administrators should be able to set the filter in the same way as for product updates, then assign an email address and then set how frequently this email is sent. The possible frequency settings could be: - as soon as an update appears for the software set in the filter - once a week, if updates for the software set to filters are available, or every two or three weeks - once a month if updates for the software set to filters are available, or every two or three months There should also be an additional option so that when critical updates appear, a notification is sent immediately, regardless of the frequency set.   Best regards Elias Show More

It would be really really nice to be able to email the team or groups from the manage portal. So right now we have 1 team and 10 groups. In order to email these groups I have to maintain groups in Outlook to notify them of upgrades, or tweaks, reminders or a new procedure or feature. As we grow it becomes more difficult to keep these groups accurate especially as people come and go and we move people to different groups. Being every account/user is tied to an email address it would be fantastic if we could do this. SSO is not an option near term and I don't have enough experience if SSO would help. Currently with the latest introduction to the Autodesk waiting room in the account portal, Primary Admins/Purchaser are the only individuals who can view and move New Subscriptions to a designated team in the account portal via the new waiting room feature. This creates an inconvenience for the secondary administrators who are truly facilitating the license management in the account portal, oftentimes the contract manager/purchaser for a customer/company is not managing the software but merely signing the check or issuing the purchase order to their reseller of record/partner. Allowing secondary admins to gain visibility of the waiting room and all new licenses that are purchased can help fill the gap that is currently missing with the new waiting room functionality which is meant to eliminate the cases that are created by partners or customers needing to move new purchases into the correct allocated team in the account portal.    Additionally, if there was a Power User Role that can be enabled it may be able to provide further rights or capabilities to admins who facilitate their end users software can help in this area.  Show More

Hi team,   We are having major issues (reseller) with new licenses purchased by our clients constantly placing themselves into unsolicited teams.   The issue with new licenses placing themselves into unsolicited teams continues to be a major frustration as large chunks of my working days are spent on live chats getting these fixed.   Initially I thought that if a new seat was added to an existing contract, that seat would then place itself into the team that contract is aligned to - this seemed to be the case for a while. Where as additional seats that weren't added onto an existing contract, would trigger the creation of a new team.   Recently it seems to have been flipped on its head and now additional seats added to existing contracts have been placed into entirely new teams?   I have also seen new licenses placed into "new" contracts be pooled into an existing team, but then also new teams created on other occasions.   It's becoming unpredictable and we really need a better method of how new licenses are placed into teams...     Show More

When I, as a primary administrator, assign or remove licenses to users, the users always receive an email with the message: "Your administrator <administrator's email address> has sent you a license...". I think Autodesk should be much more transparent when someone starts using a Flex Token.  I was never told at any point that it was going to use a token, even when I logged into Fusion Team.  I also wasn’t told I was using tokens over the next few days after I logged out.   I have "used" 34 tokens over the last few months, but was never told at any point that I was using them.  I am currently working with support to figure out why I am STILL being charged tokens even after logging out over a month ago.   Again, I think Autodesk should be more transparent about when a user is going to be charged tokens, how much and how often.  Also, we should be told how to stop using tokens.  I have been working with support for over two months to get this issue resolved. Would be extremely helpful to add a column next to the expiration date of the Flex token contract to show the tokens used from that contract, that way the customer will know which tokens has been consumed from the contract that shows expired or even the contract that is not expired yet but the tokens has been consumed already. When a customer purchase tokens every couple month or so, it is hard to keep track which contract/tokens has been consumed. This will add a transparency and clearance on what is going on with the tokens purchase and consumption. Another option would be if the tokens are consumed on the contract, remove that contract form the account. Simple scenario is that, customer purchased 5000 tokens, consumed all in 3 month, then purchase another 5000 and so on, (12 month) later will get a notification/s that flex tokens contract expired and that create a confusion and panic situation that is not necessary. Currently there is no option to download/print few or many invoices at one instance of time for e-store Customers in the Autodesk Account>Order History tab. The bulk download option with a From & To date filter or a check box to select/unselect the orders will enable Customers to select the date range or check the orders for which they desire to download instead of downloading them individually. This will help Customers who are on monthly recurring term for a longer period and Customers with multiple Subscriptions and products by reducing navigation time on screen. Show More
