Your secret, your problem 😉

But ok.

Hi,

what do you mean exactly with " It doesn't work" ?

Please try it with hardware acceleration ON and OFF, command: GRAPHICSCONFIG

" It doesn't work" is the most useless description there is to describe that something does not meet your own expectations.

Think about, we can not see your Screen!

Detailed explanation, Screenshots and the really good https://knowledge.autodesk.com/de/community/screencast

Capture-object.JPG

I found this object in drawing has the Z value very close to infinity, see the picture , There are so a lot of object like this, that why I can work in 3D mode,  don't know why but this file is create from AutoCAD LT So should have any value on Z coordinate. Or this may happen when open this file in AutoCAD full version. Some one can explain the root cause.

Hello @Anonymous

Welcome to the AutoCAD forum.

In general - the more detailed a description is, the better help can be provided in the forum. This can be via e.g.:

  • described steps
  • text of the message you see
  • screenshots of the situation you face
  • description of the behavior you expect.

Maybe you could include some of these points / information.

Furthermore:

  1. Maybe it makes a difference how the DWG was saved. If you switch the view in LT and save it again, it might make a difference.
  2. I don't want to point yet already towards the INSERT/CLASSICINSERT command to add your saved dwg into a new empty drawing, but it might be a solution if nothing else helps.

Could the information provided help you and answer your question?

Hello @Anonymous

thanks for your screenshot.

Regarding the heights - does it make a difference if you run either in AutoCAD or in AutoCAD LT the commands to flatten everything in the drawing to Z=0 as described in the article: "How to flatten a drawing in AutoCAD"?

>>"don't know why but this file is create from AutoCAD LT So should have any value on Z coordinate."

That's wrong. LT works in the same space like AutoCAD or Civil3D, you always works in a 3D Room!

Usually LT-User don't want to use Z-Value othgers than 0, but if you have one or more objects

in the drawing with z/=0 (for example an Architecture floor) and you uses the object snaps..

your new or moved item to this point.

ObjectSnaps snap X Y AND Z Values from a point.
