How to resize a 3D model

I want to make the two outer legs on the y-axis a total of 152.4 mm and the shorter middle leg 76.2 mm. How would I go about resizing just the length of the y-axis but keeping everything else the same scale and proportion? I've attached the DWG for reference.

I would use the SLICE command to seperate the W into 4 pieces.

1 horizontal (back) and 3 vertical (legs)

Draw some supportlines for your length 152.4 an 76.2

Use presspull on de sliced side of the legs to make them shorter.

Move the shortened legs so they overlap the back just a little

Use the UNION command to make one solid.

See if this works for you.

Adjusted model attached.

Consider this...

Your model has a crooked left leg.  The left leg is not perpendicular to the base and is not the same length as the right leg.  You might consider redrawing your wireframe to get that straightened out?

Even so, to make the adjustment you requested try this:

  1. Create a horizontal line along the top face of your model to isolate the face transition of legs from base (shown as a red line).
  2. Create rectangles to be place at midpoints of each leg.  Two rectangles 60x152.4, and one rectangle 60x76.2 (shown as blue rectangles).
  3. Move each rectangle to the midpoint of each leg.
  4. Presspull each solid area between the red base line and the blue rectangle lines.
  5. Use "Separate" in solid editing to break the solid into legs and base.
  6. Move the remaining legs into position.
  7. Union the entire model.

Hope this provides another path for your to try.

Editing 3D solids in AutoCAD is not the best, to say the least.  I would set the view to the top view, use flatshot, explode, edit as needed, connect the lines and arcs into a pline and extrude again.

To modify a 3d object just CTRL+CLICK a surface and then move.

Of use SOLIDEDIT / face
