Hello,

It will be nice to learn more about custom commands / combination of Autocad and Advance Steel commands improving productivity. 

To colleagues willing to share-Thank you.

Here is a tiny example:

"Hide parts with identical numbers"-used when parts are detailed using drawings styles.

And another one:

"Hide Similar Advance Steel Objects":

Hi,

Many thanks for the input.

Not sure if I read the lines correctly, mine cut hatches are working fine. Visible hatches do not allow different scales, only different colors.

I think you are correct, I did enter the values in AstCurrent DetHatch… only.

Will test on Monday, but probably this is it.

hmmm, weird, did you change the drawing style settings too? 

I tested it on a camera cut, here it really works.

But with the manual cut in drawing, yeah it doesn't work right - minimal not for the hatch angle. Here became the 0° value another representation as in camera cut = 45° rotated (=false)! Why? That's magic 😃 ...

The hatch that is shown on the screenshots is Cut, not Visible.

Yes, I have applied all representation types properly, in AstorDetails----Hatch and ObjectAppearance and in CurrentAddin----Hatch and ObjectApperance.

There is either a bug or it was left undeveloped.

Not having the scale for Visible Hatches fixed.

SOMETIMES!! And it's happening by accident!!

Hatch via Camera cut:

0° value = 45° representation of hatch in drawing 

90° value = 135° representation of hatch in drawing

Hatch via manual cut:

0° value = 0° representation of hatch in drawing 

90° value = 90° representation of hatch in drawing

WHY??? ....

Examples with the same settings for hatch, but with another representation (hatch angle):

Here some small (help) tools - predefined construction lines (Xline = endless line) - similar to AutoCAD Mechanical. Icons see attachment.

Horizontal Xlines (automatic multiple)

Hi everyone,

Looking for a way to explode joints by selecting an element of a joint, if the joint box is not visible,

without using Advance Joint Properties+select+explode.

Have a look in the ribbon where the connection vaul is located in the extended modeling tab. There's a command (not sure how it is called). But with this command you could select an object and after this, the joint box of this element will be selected. Then it's just the 'delete' command which had to be added

Hi,

"Update page header" comes usually after some modifications are done in Project Settings, which always requires "Update defaults".

Example-drawn on or checked on date-we have to update defaults all the time prior to updating page headers.

Adding the "Update Defaults" command in front of "Update page header" eliminates the going back and updating defaults if we forget to run update defaults first.

Update Defaults and Update Page Header-modified existing Update Page Header command:

Did someone already call the command ncopy? Very useful to copy elements from a xref without opening the xref

Have you ever had an issue with xrefs and Shared Views?

The entire model gets dark in Shared Views.
