Pivot appears to not be working with SP4. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Kind of like how objects sometimes disappear while you are editing them. The object pivot will not always update and will instead remain fixed even though the pivot was realigned to an outside edge. You will see the updated pivot position in show pivot but actual object pivot does not update. This is basic functionality. Things that have worked and been present for over a decade and now are broken. Autodesk wants our money for *new* versions every year where they break significant parts of the program to *modernize* (does that mean make it work inefficiently and poorly?). None of these releases are tested to any significant degree and the people doing the coding have no idea how the program is actually used. Instead they implement their autistic logic on top of the interface. The latest *redesign* of the gui to the failed flat design scheme implemented everywhere. How sad that GUI design today apparently involves aping ****ty website design regardless of whether it hurts the overall usability and stability of the app.
Part of the reason flat design was embraced by websites is it caused users to linger longer on each page (because they couldn't figure out where anything was lol). In an application for *work* however if it takes even one more click thah it used to for an action you have failed as a designer. Use that as a metric and maybe fix all the existing problems before you force new features on users that no one wanted or asked for. Pathetic.
